Materials
- 1 1/2 lb mixed fruit Dried
- 4 T honey
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 c brown rice
- 2 c water Boiling
- 1 einbren
- 2 T flour
- 1 c water
- 2 T butter
Instructions
- prunes peaches, pears, apricots, raisins Wash fruits in hot water; drain. Combine with rice, honey, seasonings, and water.
- Bring to the boiling point, then reduce heat and simmer slowly until the rice is tender 20 to 30 minutes.
- It may be necessary to add a little water. Heat flour in small skillet until light brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Stir in butter. Slowly add water, stirring constantly. When einbren is smooth and thick, add to fruit.
